Role Overview:
As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading automation initiatives across projects, managing test teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery using the latest tools and methodologies. You will help define standards, architect solutions, and drive excellence in our QA automation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of automation engineers to achieve testing goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Define and execute test strategies, plans, and roadmaps for automation aligned with project and program goals and objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Define and implement the overall automation testing strategy, aligning with organizational goals and project requirements.
- Design and maintain scalable, reusable, and efficient automation frameworks and tools.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for test automation.
- Oversee the development and execution of automated test scripts for web, mobile, API, Microservices, and AI-based testing.
- Collaborate with development, product, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.
- Perform hands-on coding and troubleshooting as needed to support the team.
- Ensure comprehensive reporting of test results, defects, and metrics to stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for automation-related discussions with stakeholders.
- Advocate for automation within the organization and drive adoption of new tools and technologies.
Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, Automation with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cypress, Tosca, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Typescript, or C# for test automation.
- Solid understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
- Proven ability to design and implement robust, scalable automation frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
