Role Overview:

As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading automation initiatives across projects, managing test teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery using the latest tools and methodologies. You will help define standards, architect solutions, and drive excellence in our QA automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, mentor, and guide a team of automation engineers to achieve testing goals and deliver high-quality solutions.
2. Define and execute test strategies, plans, and roadmaps for automation aligned with project and program goals and objectives.
3. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
4. Define and implement the overall automation testing strategy, aligning with organizational goals and project requirements.
5. Design and maintain scalable, reusable, and efficient automation frameworks and tools.
6. Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for test automation.
7. Oversee the development and execution of automated test scripts for web, mobile, API, Microservices, and AI-based testing.
8. Collaborate with development, product, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.
9. Perform hands-on coding and troubleshooting as needed to support the team.
10. Ensure comprehensive reporting of test results, defects, and metrics to stakeholders.
11. Act as the primary point of contact for automation-related discussions with stakeholders.
12. Advocate for automation within the organization and drive adoption of new tools and technologies.

Qualification and Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in software testing, Automation with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
3. Strong expertise in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Cypress, Tosca, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent.
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Typescript, or C# for test automation.
5. Solid understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
6. Proven ability to design and implement robust, scalable automation frameworks.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
