Job summary

GSSTech Group seeks a Node.js Software Engineer – Testing for a UAE bank, focusing on automation across scalable enterprise apps in an Agile setup. Bachelor level CS degree or equivalent experience is required, with 5+ years in JavaScript and 1+ year in TypeScript.

The role emphasizes end-to-end automation using Playwright/Selenium in a microservices, Docker/Kubernetes environment, with CI/CD and security considerations. Prior API gateway and SSO familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in JavaScript with a strong focus on automation testing
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with TypeScript
• Solid experience in Automation Testing Techniques and Tools such as Playwright, Cucumber, Appium and Selenium
• Proven expertise in developing and testing scalable, highly available RESTful APIs and microservices using JavaScript technologies
• Ability to create end-to-end automation test suites using Playwright/Selenium, preferably following the BDD approach
• Practical experience with GraphQL
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and hands-on troubleshooting in distributed services
• Working knowledge of containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Exposure to API Gateway integrations (e.g., 3Scale) and understanding of SSO and token-based authentication (REST, JWT, OAuth)
• Experience with task/message queues such as AWS SQS, Azure Service Bus, Pushpin, or Kafka
• Experience in Agile environments and strong research/benchmarking of tools and technologies

Responsibilities
