Job summary

Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG in Pune seeks an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated tests across frontend, API, and end-to-end scenarios within a growing digital platform.

You will partner with the implementation team, drive a sustainable test automation strategy, contribute to CI/CD quality gates, and support UAT readiness and release sign-off with clear traceability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software testing and test automation.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Vitest.
• Experience with API testing and integration testing.
• Experience with CI/CD-based testing and quality gates; Gherkin/BDD for acceptance criteria.
• Experience integrating automated QA checks into Jenkins pipelines.
• Knowledge of eCommerce or enterprise digital platforms is a plus.
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence; observability tools like Dynatrace or Kibana is a plus.
• ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated tests across frontend, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Support the setup of a sustainable QA and test automation approach for the medias target architecture.
• Work with the implementation partner during transformation and absorb test practices, tools, and standards and take over full QA responsibility after migration.
• Help define test coverage priorities for functional, integration, regression, and non-functional testing.
• Support other engineers and QA colleagues with testing good practices, automation patterns, and defect analysis.
• Contribute to CI-based quality gates and automated validation in delivery pipelines.
• Analyze defects, coordinate root-cause analysis with engineering teams, and support defect resolution.
• Support business-led UAT readiness through stable test environments, traceability, and issue transparency.
• Create and maintain test documentation, test cases, automation assets, and quality reporting in Jira and Confluence.
• Contribute to release readiness and quality sign-off preparation.

Your Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field
• More than 6 years of experience in software testing and test automation
• Strong hands-on experience with modern test automation approaches and tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Vitest, or similar
• Experience with API testing, integration testing, and regression automation
• Good understanding of CI/CD-based testing and quality gates as well as Gherkin/BDD for writing clear acceptance criteria and automated test scenarios
• Experience integrating automated QA checks into Jenkins pipelines
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in eCommerce or enterprise digital platforms is an advantage
• Experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and observability tools such as Dynatrace or Kibana is a plus
• ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certificate is an advantage
