Job summary

Schaeffler, a global technology company, is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and SaaS solutions in cloud environments. The role emphasizes API design, TDD, and agile collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include building backend services, implementing frontend components, and ensuring code quality through reviews and guidelines. Experience with AWS/Azure, Terraform, and CI/CD is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Modeling, Software Engineering
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering / full-stack development
• Very good experience in developing SaaS solutions on cloud resources such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
• Knowledge of Python, C#, Go, or Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development
• Knowledge of API design patterns and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Familiarity with DRY, KISS, and microservices
• Experience with code reviews and coding guidelines, and improving development standards
• Proven experience maintaining, refactoring, debugging, and enhancing codebases and features
• Knowledge of FastAPI, .NET Core, Gin, or similar backend frameworks
• Knowledge of Angular, Vue, React, or similar frontend frameworks
• Knowledge of CI/CD using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins, and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Willingness to coach and take responsibility for services
• Strong hands-on attitude with analytical skills
• Ability to learn new technologies (T-Shape)
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and teamwork in agile environments

Your Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Modeling, Software Engineering
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering / full- stack development
• Very good experience in developing applications as well as SaaS solutions in full stack running on cloud resources such as AWS, Azure, and/or Google C
• Knowledge in common backend programming languages such as Python, C#, Go, and/or Java, as well as JavaScript / TypeScript for frontend development, is essential
• Knowledge of common API design patterns and TDD (Test-Driven Development) is a must
• Familiarity with software engineering principles and patterns such as DRY, KISS, and microservices
• Experience with code reviews and coding guidelines, including establishing, improving, and following development standards
• Proven experience in maintaining, refactoring, debugging, and improving existing codebases, as well as implementing new features.
• Knowledge of common backend frameworks such as FastAPI, .NET Core, Gin, or similar
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Angular, Vue, React, or similar
• Knowledge of CI/CD using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins, as well as Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, is a very welcome plus
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Ability and willingness to coach and to take responsibility for services
• Strong hands-on attitude combined with good analytical skills
• Ability to learn new technologies and skills (T-Shape philosophy)
• Proficiency in agile methodologies, with experience working effectively within agile teams and environments, fostering an agile mindset in daily work.
