THIS IS A LONG-TERM CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST, GLOBAL, TECHNOLOGY LEADERS.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Test Engineer with strong expertise in Backend | REST API Automation | Java | DevOps tools. You will be part of a dynamic engineering team in Pune, working on building robust, scalable, and high-quality cloud and web products. This is a hybrid role based in Pune.

Experience Level: 7-10 years (Overall experience can be more)

Key Responsibilities

• Own and execute end-to-end backend automation for new and existing features.
• Define the QA strategy for the team and set up robust release management practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand requirements and convert them into detailed test plans.
• Write clean assertions that map to business acceptance criteria and maintain stable automation suites.
• Drive automation coverage within the scrum team and implement best practices for scalable and maintainable frameworks.
• Identify flaky tests, strengthen automation stability, and optimize the testing pyramid.
• Work closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a reputed institution.
• 5–8 years of professional experience in Software Testing or SDET roles.
• Expertise with REST API automation frameworks such as RestAssured, Karate, etc.
• Proficiency in BDD frameworks like Cucumber or JBehave.
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Jenkins, Git, and version control workflows.
• Strong understanding of automation strategy, test environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
