Job summary

Seneca Global It Services in Hyderabad is seeking a hands-on Senior QA Engineer with strong manual and automation testing experience for web applications. You will develop test plans, design test cases, and drive quality across the product lifecycle.

You will use Playwright for automation, perform functional and non-functional testing, and contribute to basic security testing. Collaboration with developers and clear defect reporting are essential in this role.

• Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Participate in defect triage, release validation, and regression cycles.

We are looking for a hands-on Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in manual and automation testing, primarily for web applications. The role requires solid testing fundamentals, Playwright automation, functional and non-functional testing, and basic security testing exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Derive effective test scenarios and test cases covering positive, negative, and edge cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.
• Build and maintain web automation scripts using Playwright.
• Validate RBAC, authentication, authorization, and user permissions.
• Perform basic security testing with awareness of OWASP Top 10.
• Support API and database validation where required.
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear impact and reproduction steps.
• Participate in defect triage, release validation, and regression cycles.
• Use AI tools for basic test case generation, test data creation, and edge-case identification.
• Apply spec-driven testing by deriving test coverage directly from requirements and specifications.
