Job summary

Cloud Raptor is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer in Bengaluru to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java for web, API, and backend testing. You will drive framework development, perform diverse testing, and collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure quality across the SDLC.

The role requires 8+ years in QA/testing with strong automation expertise, hands-on Java and tools like Selenium, Postman, Rest Assured, and a solid understanding of REST

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA/testing experience with automation.
• Strong Java automation skills and framework design.
• Hands-on automation with Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or similar.
• Strong Postman/API testing experience.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication and response validation.
• Experience creating automation scripts from scratch and scalable frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps or similar.
• Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum processes.
• Strong debugging, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of QA tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java.

• Work extensively with Postman for API testing and validation.
• Create and execute automated API test suites.

• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Take ownership of QA activities and deliver testing tasks independently
• Stay updated with modern QA tools, automation practices, and testing technologies.

Preferred candidate profile :

8+ years of experience in QA/testing, with strong automation experience.

• Strong programming experience in Java.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or similar.
• Strong experience with Postman and API testing.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, authentication, and response validation.
• Experience creating automation scripts from scratch.
• Ability to design scalable and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Experience with version control tools like Git.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and take full ownership of assigned QA work.

Good to Have :

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or similar.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with containerized environments such as Docker.
• Knowledge of security testing basics.
• Experience with modern QA practices including shift-left testing, contract testing, and CI/CD
