Job summary

Weekday AI is seeking a Senior Python Developer in Hyderabad, India, for building scalable backend services and AI-enabled applications. You will design, implement, and optimize RESTful APIs, data models, and distributed architectures in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with FastAPI/Flask, SQLAlchemy, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP to deliver reliable services, ensure performance, and support CI/CD and observability initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Python backend development and production-grade systems.
• Proficient in Python 3.x and backend software engineering.
• Extensive experience with FastAPI and/or Flask.
• Deep knowledge of ORM, sessions, transactions, and data-access patterns.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and database design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience deploying on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiar with REST APIs, OpenAPI, and Swagger.
• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, scalability, and high availability.

Responsibilities
