You will mentor engineers, enforce test‑driven development, and collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps to meet sprint commitments across modern cloud-native stacks.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of hands-on software engineering experience with Python
• Deep practical experience with Python web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
• Design, secure, and document RESTful APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus
• Strong MongoDB and relational DB knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Proficient in Linux environments and Git workflows
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and driving architecture decisions

Job Title Python Technical Lead

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Python Technical Lead with 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience building robust, scalable backend services and distributed systems. In this role, you will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance APIs, data pipelines, and microservices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile environment, driving technical excellence from initial design through deployment and observability.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure backend services and microservices using Python.


• API Engineering: Architect and implement high-performance RESTful APIs and GraphQL schemas, integrating external third-party services and downstream systems using JSON-based payloads.


• Database Design & Management: Model, optimize, and manage NoSQL databases (primarily MongoDB) as well as relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MSSQL) for query performance and data integrity.


• System Administration & Tooling: Develop, deploy, and debug applications directly in Linux/Unix environments.


• Code Quality & Mentorship: Drive clean architecture, comprehensive unit/integration testing, and code reviews across Git-based workflows.


• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, QA, and DevOps engineers within an Agile/Scrum framework to deliver sprint commitments predictably.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 812 years of professional software engineering experience primarily using Python.


• Framework Expertise: Deep practical experience with core Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.

Good-to-Have Skills (Preferred)

• Containerization & Orchestration: Hands-on experience containerizing applications using Docker and deploying/managing workloads on Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift.


• CI/CD: Experience configuring automated build, test, and release pipelines using Jenkins or similar platforms.


• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with infrastructure automation and provisioning using Ansible or Terraform.


• Observability & Telemetry: Practical exposure to application performance monitoring (APM), centralized logging, and metrics stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, Datadog).

Preferred Soft Skills

• Strong technical communication skills with the ability to explain complex architectural decisions to non-technical stakeholders.


• Proven mentorship abilities to guide junior and mid-level engineers.
