Job summary

Blackbuck Insights is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead design, development and optimization of complex software systems using Python. You will set coding standards, mentor juniors, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.

The role requires 9-12 years in software development with strong Python expertise, RESTful services experience, and hands-on cloud/GCP exposure.

Qualifications

• 9-12 years in software development with 5-6 years Python experience.
• Strong skills in applying data structures and algorithms to application development.
• At least 3 years of experience in building scalable applications.
• Strong understanding of web services and RESTful implementation.
• 8+ years in SQL/NoSQL/PGSQL/MySQL with performance tuning.
• 3+ years of experience in GCP or another cloud platform with performance tuning.
• Ability to quickly produce prototypes and proofs of concept.
• Ability to articulate complex technical scenarios to leadership.
• Willingness to mentor other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to defining the technology roadmap and approach for designated applications and products.

• Peer code review and coaching of junior team members.
• Automate code quality checks and enforce coding/design standards.

Job Description

This role demands a Principal Software Engineer who provides technical leadership in designing,developing and optimizing complex software systems using Python. Requirements

• 9-12 years of experience in Software development out of which 5-6 years' experience in pythondevelopment – Demonstrate Git lab Projects delivered on expertise in Python Packages,Performance Tuning
• Strong skills of applying Data structures and algorithms in application development
• At least 3 years of experience in building scalable applications
• Strong understanding of web services and implementation experience in RESTFUL Web Services
• 8+ years of experience in SQL/NoSQL/PGSQL/MySQL and solid understanding/exposure todatabase management + Performance Tuning
• 3+ years of experience in GCP (Preferred) or any other cloud platform - Performance Tuning(Must), Exposure to Optimal Infrastructure Configurations, Capacity Planning experience willbe good
• Ability to quickly produce prototypes and proof of concepts.
• Ability to articulate complex technical scenarios and solutions to Architects, leadership teams.
