Job summary

Expleo is seeking an experienced Python Developer in Chennai with 7+ years of hands-on experience to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services. You will develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and work across relational and NoSQL databases, cloud platforms, and CI/CD tooling.

You will participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and ensuring code quality while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Python development.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications and backend services. The candidate should have strong expertise in Python development, API development, database technologies, cloud platforms, and software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required Technical Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Strong knowledge of Python 3.x, OOP, data structures, exception handling, and design patterns.
• Strong experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong experience in REST API development and microservices architecture.
• Good knowledge of SQL and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB is preferred.
• Experience with Git and version-control practices.
• Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and coding standards.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud-native services.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging/streaming platforms.
• Experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, or asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as PyTest or unittest.
• Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
