Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer with strong experience in building scalable, secure and cloud-native applications. The role requires deep expertise in Python backend development, REST APIs, microservices and AWS, along with hands‑on exposure to TypeScript/Node.js, DevSecOps and Agentic AI/GenAI solutions.

The engineer will contribute across the complete SDLC and provide technical leadership around architecture, engineering quality, security and production reliability.

Required Technical Skills

• 8–12 years of software engineering experience with strong backend development expertise.
• Advanced hands‑on Python development.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs, backend services and microservices.
• Experience with FastAPI, Django or Flask.
• Strong experience with TypeScript / Node.js for backend services and APIs.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging and distributed systems.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS, preferably:
• Lambda

• Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation.

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with unit, integration and end-to‑end testing using tools such as pytest.
• Observability experience with OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Splunk or Grafana.
• Strong understanding of secure coding, application security and vulnerability management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NestJS or Express.js.
• Experience with LLM/Agent frameworks, vector databases/search and enterprise knowledge integration.
• Experience building serverless and containerized workloads on AWS.
• Banking, financial services or other regulated industry experience would be an advantage.
