• 5–6 years of experience in purchase/procurement in industrial automation sectors.
• Experience buying automation components (PLCs, sensors, motors, VFDs, pneumatics, mechanical parts).
• Strong vendor development, negotiation, and cost-reduction skills; SAP/ERP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Purchase Order Management: Prepare and release purchase orders for machine components per requirements and procedures.
• Automation Components Procurement: Purchase electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, robotic components for automation machines.
• Material Planning: Ensure timely material availability to avoid production/project delays.
• Vendor Management: Identify suppliers, compare quotes, negotiate prices, develop alternate vendors.
• Cost Reduction: Achieve lower purchasing costs via negotiation, sourcing, bulk buying, and better deals.
• Technical Understanding: Review BOMs, drawings, specs, and datasheets to ensure correct components.
• Purchase Documentation: Maintain POs, quotations, comparison statements and records in SAP/ERP.
• Supplier Follow-up: Coordinate with vendors for on-time delivery and resolve issues.
• Budget Control: Monitor material costs and keep purchases within approved budgets.

Role & responsibilities

1. Purchase Order Management: Prepare and release purchase orders for machine components as per approved requirements and company procedures.

2. Automation Components Procurement: Purchase electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, robotic, and other components required for automation machines.

3. Material Planning: Ensure materials are available on time for production and projects, avoiding delays due to shortages.

4. Vendor Management: Identify new suppliers, compare quotations, negotiate prices, and develop alternative vendors.

5. Cost Reduction: Reduce purchasing costs through price negotiation, alternate sourcing, bulk purchasing, and better supplier deals.

6. Technical Understanding: Understand BOMs, drawings, specifications, and datasheets to ensure the correct components are purchased.

7. Purchase Documentation: Maintain purchase orders, vendor quotations, comparative statements, and other procurement records in SAP/ERP.

8. Supplier Follow-up: Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and resolve material quality or commercial issues.

9. Budget Control: Monitor material costs and ensure purchases remain within the approved project budget.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 5 - 6 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in Industrial Automation, SPM, or Machinery Manufacturing.


2. Hands-on experience in purchasing automation machine components (PLCs, sensors, motors, VFDs, pneumatic and mechanical parts), BOM-based procurement, and PO management.


3. Strong skills in vendor development, price negotiation, cost reduction, and SAP/ERP.
