Job summary

Snetaj It Solutions is seeking a Senior Psychologist to lead the scientific design and enhancement of psychometric products. You will translate psychological constructs into robust models and statistical frameworks, collaborating with product, technology and data teams to shape evidence-based innovations.

You will also represent the organisation through workshops and engage with schools, counsellors and stakeholders, driving validation, research studies and reporting across educational contexts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Psychology.
• Proficiency in Mathematics, Statistics, Psychometrics, Data Analytics or Research Methodology.
• M.Phil./Ph.D. or specialised training in Psychometrics/Applied Statistics is a plus.
• Experience in developing, validating or standardising psychometric assessments.
• Experience in K12 education, EdTech, research organisations or consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualisation, development, validation and continuous improvement of psychometric assessments and diagnostic tools.
• Translate psychological theories into measurable mathematical and statistical models.
• Develop scoring methodologies, normalization frameworks, benchmarks and indices.
• Perform reliability, validity, factor analysis, regression and norm development analyses.

Role & responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Psychologist to lead the scientific design and continuous enhancement of our psychometric products. This role combines expertise in psychology with strong quantitative capabilities to translate psychological constructs into robust psychometric models, mathematical formulas and statistical frameworks.

The incumbent will work closely with product, technology and data teams to design assessments, validate psychometric instruments, analyse large datasets, interpret trends and contribute to evidence-based product innovation. In addition, the role will represent the organisation through workshops, seminars and professional engagements with schools, counsellors and other stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Applied, Educational or related discipline).
• Additional academic background or demonstrated proficiency in Mathematics, Statistics, Psychometrics, Data Analytics or Research Methodology.
• M.Phil./Ph.D. or specialised training in Psychometrics, Psychological Testing or Applied Statistics will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 68 years of experience in psychology, psychometrics, assessment design, educational psychology or behavioural research.
• Experience in developing, validating or standardising psychometric assessments.
• Experience working with K12 education, EdTech, research organisations or consulting will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualisation, development, validation and continuous improvement of psychometric assessments and diagnostic tools.
• Translate psychological theories and constructs into measurable mathematical and statistical models.
• Develop scoring methodologies, normalization frameworks, benchmarks, indices and algorithms for psychometric assessments.
• Perform statistical analyses including reliability, validity, factor analysis, correlation, regression and norm development to validate assessment instruments.
• Interpret datasets, identify anomalies, trends and biases, and recommend improvements to assessment design and product features.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and design teams to convert psychological concepts into scalable digital products.
• Develop psychometric reports, interpretation frameworks and decision-support models for different stakeholders.
• Design research studies and analyse data to support new product development and existing product enhancement.
• Conduct seminars, workshops and certification programmes for school teachers, counsellors and institutional partners.
• Provide technical guidance on psychological measurement, test administration and ethical assessment practices.
• Review emerging research and global best practices in psychology, psychometrics and educational assessment.

Contribute to white papers, research publications, thought leadership and product documentation where required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Deep understanding of psychology, psychometrics and psychological measurement.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and excellent knowledge of statistics and quantitative research methods.
• Hands-on experience with statistical software such as SPSS, R, Python, Jamovi or equivalent.
• Ability to analyse large datasets and convert findings into actionable product recommendations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation and public speaking skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product environment.
