Roles & Responsibilities
- Take complete end-to-end ownership of assigned projects from initiation to closure.
- Understand customer requirements, project scope, solution objectives and committed deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, schedules, resource plans and delivery timelines.
- Establish clear ownership for every deliverable and ensure accountability across teams.
- Track customer projects across requirements, solution design, configuration, development, integration, testing, deployment, commissioning and go-live.
- Coordinate platform-development activities required for individual customer projects.
- Understand dependencies between customer requirements, existing platform capabilities, configuration requirements and new product/platform development.
- Work closely with Product, Architecture, Development, QA, DevOps, MES Configuration, Deployment, IT/OT and Automation teams.
- Coordinate with customer Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, IT, Automation and management stakeholders.
- Coordinate with PLC/HMI teams, machine suppliers and other third-party solution providers where required.
- Ensure customer requirements are clearly documented, reviewed, assigned, traceable and covered by appropriate testing.
- Prevent projects from progressing based on incomplete, ambiguous or fragmented requirements.
- Establish and manage scope baselines and change-control processes.
- Identify project dependencies, critical-path activities, resource constraints and schedule risks.
- Maintain effective Risk, Action, Issue and Dependency (RAID) management.
- Identify risks proactively and drive mitigation before they impact project commitments.
- Track development and technical-team deliverables against customer-project milestones.
- Ensure appropriate functional, integration, end-to-end, negative, regression and recovery testing.
- Track defects, priorities, ownership and closure before release/deployment.
- Coordinate FAT, SAT, UAT and customer acceptance activities.
- Own overall deployment and go-live readiness.
- Ensure application, infrastructure, IT connectivity, OT connectivity, PLC/HMI, devices, master data, users, training and support teams are ready for deployment.
- Develop deployment, cutover, rollback/recovery and stabilization plans.
- Drive project reviews, customer progress meetings, risk reviews and management reviews.
- Provide clear and factual project status to ThoughtMakes management and customers.
- Escalate risks and issues early with impact analysis and recommended recovery actions.
- Manage multiple customer projects while maintaining visibility of shared platform and technical-resource dependencies.
- Drive cross-functional teams toward closure without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Establish and continuously improve project-management and delivery-governance practices.
- Capture lessons learned and use them to improve future project execution.

The Project Manager must maintain an end-to-end view across both streams, especially where customer commitments depend on platform-development deliverables.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should combine strong project-management discipline with sufficient technical understanding to manage complex industrial software and system-integration projects.
The candidate should be capable of understanding the complete project flow across: Customer Business Process Manufacturing MES Software Platform Integration IT Infrastructure OT/Automation Deployment You are not expected to be the software architect, developer or PLC programmer. However, you must understand technical discussions sufficiently to identify dependencies, risks, ownership gaps and delivery impact.
Mandatory Requirements
- 10+ years of overall professional experience
- PMP Certification Mandatory
- Strong end-to-end technology project management experience
- Proven experience managing software development and customer implementation/deployment projects
- Strong project planning and scheduling capability
- Strong dependency and critical-path management
- Experience coordinating multiple technical and cross-functional teams
- Strong risk, issue and escalation management
- Customer-facing project-management experience
- Experience with SDLC, testing, UAT, release and deployment processes
- Strong stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to understand technical architecture and integration discussions at project-management depth
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong ownership and execution mindset
- Willingness to travel to customer locations in India and overseas
