Job summary

Virtusa is seeking an experienced QA Project Manager with a strong automation testing background to lead end-to-end quality assurance initiatives. You will oversee test strategies, automation development, and cross-functional delivery teams to ensure high-quality software releases.

You will drive automation using Playwright or Selenium, manage resources and risks, and report progress to clients and executives, while mentoring teams and guiding QA governance across projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Software Testing and QA.
• 3+ years in QA/Test Management or Project Management.
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Automation QA teams.
• Define and implement the QA and Test Automation strategy.
• Plan, track, and manage test activities, schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables.
• Drive automation initiatives using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Monitor automation coverage, execution results, defect metrics, and overall quality KPIs.
• Ensure automation frameworks follow coding standards, best practices, and maintainability guidelines.
• Coordinate with SMEs and other stakeholders.
• Manage test planning, estimation, test execution, defect management, and reporting.
• Identify project risks, dependencies, blockers, and provide mitigation plans.
• Review automation code, test strategy, and framework improvements.
• Support resource planning, team mentoring, performance management, and skill development.
• Provide regular project status updates and quality reports to management and clients.
