Job summary

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch./M.Arch.); registration/license preferred.
• Experience leading medium to large-scale projects (residential, commercial, or institutional).

• Strong communication, team leadership, and mentoring abilities.
• On-site work in Chennai with regular site visits.

Role Description

The Senior Project Architect will lead the design and delivery of architectural and interior design projects from concept through completion in a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. Responsibilities include developing design concepts, delegating/ checking/ issuing statutory/ GFC detailed drawings and specifications, coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality project deliverables.

The role involves overseeing BIM models, reviewing submittals, managing design documentation, and ensuring that projects meet regulatory codes, client requirements, and, where applicable, sustainability standards such as LEED. The Senior Project Architect will guide junior team members, manage project schedules and resources, and support client presentations, design reviews, and site visits to resolve technical and coordination issues.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Architecture skills, including conceptual design, detailed design, and technical documentation.
• Candidates should possess Design Management skills, including planning, coordination, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
• Candidates should possess Submittals management skills, including reviewing, tracking, and approving construction and vendor documents.
• Professional B.Arch./M.Arch. degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; registration/license is preferred.
• Relevant experience in leading medium to large-scale projects, ideally including residential, commercial, or institutional work.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM platforms, and presentation software).
• Strong communication, team leadership, and mentoring abilities, with a collaborative and detail-focused approach.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai and conduct regular site visits as required.
