Job summary

NSRCEL is the start-up incubator of IIM Bangalore, and Impact Orbit is its social entrepreneurship vertical supporting early-stage and growth ventures through structured incubation, mentoring, and funding avenues.

We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead end-to-end program delivery, manage the impact team, ensure data integrity, and maintain strong CSR donor engagement across India and beyond.

Qualifications

• MBA or postgraduate in Social Entrepreneurship / Social Work.
• 10–12 years of experience in non-profit incubation or program management.
• Proven ability to build partnerships and manage stakeholders.
• Experience handling large budgets and reporting to donors.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel and work with ecosystems in India and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Impact Orbit program end to end, including design, collaborations, outcomes, M&E, and communications with donors.
• Manage and oversee the impact team, guiding milestones and travel to meet ventures.
• Maintain program data, forecast plans, and ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee program spend with strict financial and compliance controls.
• Interface with CSR donors as a point of contact, providing updates and reports.
• Contribute to creating the NSRCEL Impact Centre of Excellence with ideas and research.
• Coach team members to support professional growth.
• Maintain relationships with ventures and alumni for ongoing engagement.

About Impact Orbit

Impact Orbit is the specialized social entrepreneurship vertical of NSRCEL, the prominent business incubation center housed at IIM Bangalore. Launched in 2017, it has scaled to become India's largest social incubator by venture volume, offering structured lifecycle support to both for-profit and non-profit social enterprises.

Core Mission and Offerings

The initiative acts as a bridge connecting social entrepreneurs, academia, and industry players. It targets early-stage and growth-stage startups addressing severe environmental and socio-economic challenges. Over an 8 to 9-month incubation period, participating ventures receive:

• Financial Grants: Non-equity grants ranging up to ₹12.5-15 Lakhs for selected startups.
• Business Development: Personalized 1-on-1 mentoring, value proposition clarity, and legal compliance support.
• Funding & Impact Readiness: Training in alternative funding avenues, investor pitches, and rigorous impact measurement frameworks

What you will be doing

As a pivotal member of NSRCEL’s Impact Orbit Team you will play a critical role in influencing strategic decisions for the flagship programs like Impact Orbit and the Impact Centre of Excellence

Key responsibilities

• Drive the impact Orbit program end to end - Own the entire program, design, collaborations, outcomes, M&E, team, internal stakeholders, utilization and communications with donors
• Manage and oversee the impact team, drive operations, provide guidance on milestones, travel to meet ventures
• Maintain, document all program related data, plan and forecast, execute and deliver timelines with team
• Ensure programmatic spend through stringent financial and compliance utilization
• Interface with CSR donors as a POC through timely updates, reports and ensure deliverables are achieved on time.
• Contribute to creating the Impact Centre of Excellence with ideas and research
• Coach the team to help them achieve professional progress and success
• Research aspirational sectors for programs
• Maintain touch points with ventures and alumni of Impact orbit programs in the past for tracking the journey and creating new models of engagement.

Requirements

What you will need to bring to the table

• An MBA, or post-graduate in Social Entrepreneurship / Social Work
• Overall experience of 10-12 years (relevant experience in non-profit incubation, & program management)
• Have started a business or a non-profit or led an important org function, preferably in a social startup
• Evidence of partnership building, organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
• Prior experience in handling important stakeholders and large budgets
• Understanding of the entrepreneurial ecosystem along with relevant networks in India & beyond
• Drive a high-speed, action-packed incubation CSR project, creating deliverables and ensuring the project achieves them
• Appetite to travel, network with ventures, collaborate with eco-system organizations and create new value to the project and NSRCEL continuously.
