Job description

Function: Sustainability, CSR & Corporate Communications, Impact Communication

Remuneration: INR 15 LPA – 17 LPA (based on relevant experience)

Role Overview

The resource will work to drive key priorities across Sustainability, CSR, and Brand Communications.

The resource will contribute to advancing ESG roadmap, strengthening cross-functional coordination, and amplifying communication around sustainability and CSR initiatives.

This role is designed for an agile, analytical, and purpose-driven professional who can blend research, strategy, storytelling, and execution to support high-stakes projects at the intersection of business and impact transforming programme data and insights into clear, compelling narratives for internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support development and tracking of ESG roadmap and sustainability goals.
  • Conduct benchmarking and secondary research on global and Indian sustainability standards, emerging regulations, and industry best practices (BRSR, climate disclosures, plastic stewardship, water stewardship, circularity frameworks, etc.).
  • Prepare briefs, insights, and presentations for leadership decision-making on sustainability trends.
Data, Measurement & Reporting
  • Facilitate cross-functional data collection for ESG metrics, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparation of internal dashboards, progress trackers, and sustainability communication for leadership reviews.
  • Contribute to narrative development for annual ESG disclosures, sustainability reports, and external audits.
  • Assist in programme planning, partner coordination, and milestone tracking across CSR initiatives—health, water, livelihoods, education and skill development.
  • Facilitate monitoring and enhancing implementation of existing programmes through identification of gaps, risks, and opportunities for programme optimization as required.
  • Help evaluate programme outputs/outcomes and assist in preparing internal updates, dashboards, and review documents and compile insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Help review programme performance metrics and compile insights for strategic decision-making.
Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement, Coordination
  • Support in liaising with implementation partners, consultancies, research institutions, and government bodies.
  • Assist in tracking progress of sustainability pilots and long-term interventions (plastic circularity, water stewardship, supply-chain sustainability, climate-linked initiatives).
  • Coordinate for documentation, case studies, and success stories from field programmes.
Impact Narrative Development
  • Develop government-aligned communication strategies that support relevant public-policy initiatives.
  • Create research-backed stories to craft authentic, credible, and engaging narratives.
  • Drive CSR & Sustainability communication efforts through video ideation, enhancing media presence in coordination with regional and national PR teams to deliver high-impact storytelling for CSR initiatives.
  • Translate CSR & Sustainability project outcomes, data and community insights aligned with goals, values and brand guidelines into compelling narratives that highlight transformation and social value.
  • Support team in drafting content for internal/external communications: newsletters, impact stories, programme summaries, leadership notes, web content, and social media-ready narratives.
  • Develop scripts, interview guides and storyline structures for field documentation and beneficiary interviews.
  • Facilitate documentation, follow-ups, and action-tracking to ensure smooth programme execution.
  • Assist in planning and executing events, impact showcases, and field visits.
  • Ensure that storytelling is grounded in authentic data, cultural sensitivity and inclusive representation.
  • Coordinate with creative, media, and communications teams to support campaigns and visibility for CSR and Sustainability work.
Leadership Support
  • Develop high-quality briefs, presentations, and talking points for the Senior Leadership across forums - industry platforms, government engagements, internal reviews, and global meetings.
Who You Are (Ideal Candidate Profile)
  • A postgraduate in Public Policy, Sustainability, Development Studies, Communications, Business, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
  • 4-7 years of experience in CSR support roles, communications, consulting, or research roles.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex programme information into simple, engaging narratives.
  • High on ownership, structured thinking, and crisp communication.
  • Comfortable working across cross-functional teams.
  • Passionate about sustainability, social impact, and purpose-led business.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines.
  • Comfortable with data analysis, impact metrics, and presentation design (PPT-first mind-set).
