Job summary

Arabelle Solutions in India is seeking a skilled Machinist to operate CNC milling machines and handle precision machining of rotary and casing parts. You will ensure adherence to ISO:9001 & ISO:19443 standards and maintain SQDC disciplined shift performance.

You will report EHS matters, perform risk assessments, set up tools, measure parts, and participate in TPM/Kaizen activities to sustain high-quality output on schedule.

Qualifications

• ITI machinist or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years in rotary and casing parts machining.
• Strong knowledge of CNC milling and precision measurement.
• Literate with basic computer skills and shop floor software.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily operations of RSL machine for rotary parts and casings.
• Follow EHS procedures and nuclear safety awareness at shift start.
• Inspect parts with precision tools and document measurements.
• Assist in TPM/5S activities and continuous improvement.

Job Description Summary Perform the daily operations of RSL machine on rotary parts and casings in line with ISO:9001 & ISO:19443 along with SQDC approach to achieve shift wise target as per Machining inputs & standard work. Contributes to team efforts in accomplishing the organizational goals.Your Role:Follow site EHS procedure and nuclear safety awareness along with daily points of work riskassessment at shift starting.Report any stop work or concerns related to EHS & quality.Perform & assign activities in line with work specific regulatory compliance and organizationalEHS policy.Competent for assessment of risks & hazards associated with the task & respective mitigationactions.Undergo required EHS trainings to work safely & perform tasks in safe manner. Shall acquirethe respective authorization/training before performing an activity.Ensure that all Contract workers are performing the assigned activity safely while workingwith you or nearby area.Knowledge about basic EHS guidelines/Environmental Impact & aspect and risk related toactivities of Machine shop.Understanding of nuclear safety culture and ITNS-I & A (Important To Nuclear Safety- Item &Activity)Review and understanding of machining documents like MOPs, SOPs, drawings, KSL, programfiles, Tool sheets and FMEAs.Follow TPM procedures likes AM checklist and involvement in PM activities.Knowledge of rotary & casing components, bearing pads & operating of CNC Milling machine.Perform job set up & offset, Tool set up & offset and precise quality measurements as perinstructions & requirements.Perform set up and machining of ITNS-I nuclear HP valve, execution of ITNS- Activity andtechnical check of ITNS-A as per procedures and requirements.Perform other Nuclear Casing & parts machining, rotor coupling holes & balancing holesmachining, Fir tree groove machining, taper pin holes, parting plane machining, drilling,tapping, thread milling, boring, generator slot machining, balancing & straddle groove openingand Carden holes.Monitoring of production, adjusting feed & appropriate machine setting.Knowledge of usage of measuring instruments, error check & its application.Knowledge of cutting tools & its application, trouble shooting of machine and understandingof CNC program & manual program.Lean approach likes 5s, TPM, Kaizen etc and maintain safe & clean workplace.Teamwork and Coordination with fellow operator team & cross functional team foruninterrupted Production.Support other machine team & assembly team.Basic Qualifications(requirements):ITI- machinist / Diploma in Mechanical engineeringMin 5-year experience in Machining of rotary and casing parts (Turbine/Generator)Basic computer skillsDesired Qualifications:Demonstrated integrity accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values indecisions, communications, and actions when dealing with othersLean Mindset and understanding of lean tool.
