Job summary

Detect Technologies Pvt Ltd. is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end sourcing for engineering goods, services, and logistics. The role includes RFQ/RFP handling, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding of new suppliers to strengthen the supply base.

You will handle contract administration, ensure compliance with terms, oversee in-country logistics, and contribute to MIS reporting and budget planning for civil/electrical/mechanical projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical projects procurement.
• Ability to manage vendor identification and administration.
• Knowledge of commercial clauses important in negotiation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end procurement of goods and services including IT hardware, CCTV, and IoT equipment.
• Execute RFQ/RFP processes, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and supplier selection.
• Onboard new vendors/OEMs to expand supplier base.
• Ensure procurement aligns with project timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Contract administration for POs, software licenses and service agreements.
• Oversee in-country logistics, including customs clearance.
• Prepare MIS reports and maintain procurement records.
• Assist in budget preparation, cost estimation and cost-control initiatives.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Procurement & Sourcing

• Manage end-to-end procurement of goods and services, including:
  • Engineering Goods: IT hardware (High end servers, Workstations, laptop etc.), IP cameras, IoT devices, software, and cloud procurement.
  • Service Contracts: Installation of CCTV/IoT systems, consultancy, and audit services.
• Execute the full procurement cycle: Cost estimation (e.g., Zero-Based Costing), quotation comparison statements, approval note preparation, PO issuance, and monitoring through to PO execution in line with PO terms.
• Administer RFQ/RFP processes, vendor evaluation, negotiation, and supplier selection.
• Identify and onboard new vendors/OEMs to expand the supplier base.
• Ensure procurement aligns with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

2. Contract Administration

• Ensure contracts for goods and services are in place for every PO.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance with terms and conditions.
• Manage contract renewals, including software licenses and service agreements.

3. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, OEMs, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with project, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless procurement operations.

4. Logistics

• Oversee in-country logistics, including customs clearance for imports and exports.

5. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare and present MIS reports for management reviews.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all procurement activities.

6. Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation, cost estimation, and cost-control initiatives.

7. Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 4-6 years.
• Strong background in Contracts & Procurement, specifically within Civil/Electrical/Mechanical projects, Maintenance, or Operation contracts.
• Proven track record in vendor identification and administration.
• Knowledge of commercial clauses essential during negotiation.
• Familiarity with in-country logistics.
• Experience in managing service contracts.
