Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer in Bangalore to lead a dynamic team on major infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, and water developments.

You will drive technical reviews, coordinate design efforts, and engage with clients to ensure project success, quality and timely delivery. A 20+ year track record and chartered status are essential.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of industrial geotechnical experience with a proven track record.
• Chartered professional with strong design and project leadership.
• Experience in fast-moving engineering consultancy environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical design teams on infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical reviews and client liaison for complex ground engineering tasks.
• Manage projects and ensure timely, accurate reporting.

• The successful applicant will be aPrincipal Geotechnical Engineerwith a proventechnical and project managementtrack record.
• inimum of 20+ years industrial experience in a similar organisation.
• A strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally MSc/Meng/MTechor equivalent).
• Chartered status(C.Eng,P.Eng,P.E, or equivalent).
• Proven experience of acting as aPrincipal Geotechnical Engineerin a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment.
• Highly experiencedwith geotechnical analysis software like PLAXIS (2D&3D) SLOPE/W, WALLAP,PDISP,VDISP & REPUTE.
• ProvenGeotechnical design experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop and leadGeotechnical design teams.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients.
• Good commercialtrack recordin negotiating and running successful jobs.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produceaccuratework.
• A willingness to travel on short assignments bothtothe UK and overseas.
