AtkinsRéalis India is expanding the Urban Design practice and seeking highly motivated landscape architects and urban designers to shape a global delivery team. The role involves leading technical work, driving Safe by Design practices, and acting as a Technical Reviewer on medium-risk projects within the discipline.

The Urban Design practice in AtkinsRealis India is currently expanding to contribute to the different sectors including Property, Infrastructure & Transportation, across regions all around the world. We are keen to take on board highly motivated and capable landscape architects and urban designers to shape a well-integrated team delivering projects across the globe.

Your role

• Produces innovative solutions.
• Clearly marshals and delivers thoughts on paper, provides clear and detailed documents.
• Able to take over a technical lead role, with a growing reputation internally and externally within their field.
• Can take on Subject Matter Expert role within discipline, growing towards a Professional Head of Discipline or Technical Authority role.
• Able to provide leadership on “Safe by Design” on projects and review our approach to hierarchical risk elimination, mitigation and controls.
• Undertakes specialist/complex packages of work and function as a Discipline Technical Reviewer on Medium technical risk projects within their own discipline.
• Able to present their technical work and that of their colleagues in their field to clients.
• Contributes to and researches the development of existing and new areas of technology/capabilities to inform business strategy.
• Promotes the importance of quality within their business.
• Acts as a Technical reviewer/signatory on low/medium-risk projects and bids.
• Familiar with the commercial governance, systems and project management governance

About you

• An understanding of management processes related to technical integration and associated analytical / investigative approaches.
• An understanding of principles of assurance and compliance as defined and applied within the relevant industry environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the importance and relevance of technical interface management.
• Acts as a Team Leader/Design Manager for medium and large projects.
• Trusted by clients to deliver complex, discipline specific, technical work.
• Acts as a Project Technical Leader on medium-risk projects.
• Active participant on relevant technical network / working group
• Prepares and delivers technical training locally.
• Recognized expertise in one or more fields in business unit.
• Provides complete technical guidance to teams with minimal guidance from above
• Occasional presenter at public exhibitions and inquiries or to clients / LPO.
• Acts as the Regional lead for the team, strengthens the collaborations and add value to the business.

_ Desirable _

• May have performed the role of Project Manager (PM) for small/med complex projects while maintaining essential technical input.
• Leads and guides the teams for quality procedures on medium to large (multi-disciplinary) projects.
• Drives right behaviors within practice for knowledge management and support PHoD or Head of Discipline Influence teams for Continuous Professional Development events and support where required.
• Manages a team or group of teams and support for the staff development.
