Job summary

ReOrbit is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer in Bengaluru to lead end-to-end power architecture for GEO satellites as part of the SiltaSat project. You will drive requirements analysis, subsystem definition, and cross-team collaboration with external vendors.

The role emphasizes lifetime power subsystem expertise, data-driven design reviews, and strong communication in English to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and ensure successful AIT milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in power systems engineering in GEO space or related fields.
• Lifecycle expertise across power subsystems.
• Analytical ability to review design docs and changes.
• Collaborative experience with vendors and consortium partners.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Job description

Join our mission to redefine satellite communications by delivering GEO capabilities in a smaller, faster, and more cost-effective package through the SiltaSat project.

As a Senior Power Systems Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our Small Satcom evolution, working end-to-end—from design and development to AIT—alongside a team of experts.

Responsibilities

• Mission Requirements Analysis: Payload & Propulsion modes across all mission phases.
• Architecture Definition: Power Subsystem (based on mission analysis).
• Requirement Specifications: Power Subsystem, PCDU, Battery Unit, Solar Arrays, SADA.
• Stakeholder Interactions: Providers (Battery, Solar Array, PCDU, SADA) and other subsystem teams.
• Documentation: Based on architecture, analysis, and unit specifications.
• AIT Development: Subsystem AIT (per architecture) and EGSE definition & acceptance.

Skills And Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 10 years in power systems engineering or related fields within the GEO space industry, preferably on large satellites.
• Lifecycle Expertise: Professional experience across the full lifecycle of power systems subsystems.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, derive conclusions, and manage/review/approve design documentation and changes.
• Collaboration: Comfortable working with external vendors, consortium partners, and as part of a team.
• Language: Fluent written and spoken English.
