  • Manage and interface with the team members responsible for the other satellite subsystems.
  • Define and analyse different components of the telecom payload, from passive units, RF active units to digital and optical components.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers; to define the design and the manufacturing AIT required.
  • Define and prepare SoWs and specifications, work with the program team to assure the implementation of the design through the planned activities.
  • Solving problems along with the rest of the subsystems to assure an efficient implementation of the mission.
  • Working jointly with the AIT team to design and implement all relevant activities for the payload at all levels (subsystem and satellite level).
  • Test specification and procedures development.
  • Subsystem documentation shall be performed based on the architecture, analysis and units.
  • Subsystem AIT (Activities of Integration & Test) based on the architecture shall be developed.
Skills And Requirements
  • Real‑world experience with comms payload system architecture, requirements definition, flow down, tracking and performing system‑level analyses.
  • Experience of design or implementation of RF equipment used for telecom satellites (SSPAs, TWTs, distributed amplifiers, phased arrays, passive units like filters, switches, etc.).
  • Experience of design or implementation of digital processors (transparent or regenerative) for satellites.
  • Ability to analyse data, derive conclusions, and manage design documentation as well as review and approve design changes.
  • Master or PhD degree in a relevant technical field and at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the GEO comms satellite.
  • Experience in ground segment is a plus.
  • Must have ability to trade‑off and optimise performance, resolve complex technical problems, manage technical work with partners.
