Job summary

Freshersworld in Kolkata is seeking a Senior PHP Developer to join our engineering team. You will write clean, scalable PHP code and build robust modules while addressing performance and architectural challenges.

You will collaborate across teams, participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, and contribute to new features. A strong background in PHP frameworks and APIs, plus cloud experience, is valued.

Qualifications

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL backend experience.
• Excellent communication skills and being able to work independently or in a full team.
• Strong knowledge of advanced PHP.
• Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks, such as Laravel, Codeigniter, Zend, Symfony, Drupal, etc
• Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, Jquery
• Expert-level knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Must be worked on creating and consuming RESTful and SOAP based APIs.
• Creating database Schemas that represent and support business processes
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
• Proficient understanding of version control tools, such as Git, SVN
• Knowledge of Angular and node.js
• Experience in common third-party APIs
• Basic knowledge of Android will add an advantage
• Experience with AWS/EC2, or other cloud services
• Follow industry best practices
• Should be a good team player
• Should be able to guide team members in complex solutions
