Job summary

Codincity Digital Technologies is seeking an experienced Performance Tester to design, implement, and optimize load and scalability tests for web, API, and microservices-based applications. You will work with development teams to translate NFRs into measurable SLAs and build reusable JMeter scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on performance testing with Apache JMeter.
• Strong BlazeMeter experience for cloud-based load testing.
• Knowledge of load, stress, spike, soak, endurance testing.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, DB-driven apps.
• Ability to read logs and use APM tools to correlate issues.
• Scripting in Groovy/BeanShell or Shell/Python for test logic.
• CI/CD integration of performance tests (Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement performance, load, stress, soak, and scalability test plans using Apache JMeter and BlazeMeter for web, API, and microservices-based applications.
• Collaborate with application development teams to understand system architecture, transaction flows, and critical business scenarios to be tested.
• Translate non-functional requirements (NFRs) into measurable performance test scenarios and SLAs (response time, throughput, error rate, concurrency).
• Build and maintain reusable JMeter test scripts (HTTP, REST/SOAP APIs, JDBC, WebSocket) including correlation, parameterization, and assertions.
• Configure and manage test execution on BlazeMeter, including distributed load generation, cloud-based test scheduling, and CI/CD integration.
• Monitor system resources (CPU, memory, thread pools, DB connections, GC behavior) during test execution in coordination with infra/dev teams.
• Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks (application code, database queries, network, infrastructure), and work with developers/architects to drive root-cause resolution.
• Prepare and present performance test reports, trend analysis, and executive summaries to technical and leadership stakeholders.
• Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions) for shift-left performance validation.
• Define and maintain performance testing standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks/templates across projects.
• Participate in capacity planning and production readiness reviews for new releases or infrastructure changes.
• Mentor junior performance testers and review their scripts/test plans.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing using Apache JMeter.
• Strong working experience with BlazeMeter (test scheduling, cloud load generation, reporting, CI/CD integration).
• Solid understanding of performance testing concepts: load, stress, spike, soak, endurance, and scalability testing.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and database-driven applications.
• Ability to read and interpret application logs, APM tools (AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Azure Application Insights) to correlate performance issues.
• Working knowledge of scripting (Groovy/BeanShell within JMeter, or Shell/Python) for custom test logic.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and integrating performance tests into pipelines.
• Understanding of client-server architecture, HTTP protocols, caching, load balancing, and database performance tuning basics.
• Strong communication skills able to work directly with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to explain findings and negotiate fixes.
• Experience preparing detailed performance test reports and presenting results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
