Job summary

Moder Solutions is seeking an experienced Performance Test Architect to lead enterprise-scale performance initiatives. You will model workloads, script, execute, and report on Web/UI, API, and cloud-based applications, while identifying bottlenecks across applications, DBs, infra, and cloud layers.

The role requires hands-on JMeter expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of Performance Testing or Performance Engineering experience with hands-on leadership.
• Experience with Apache JMeter for scripting, execution, correlation, parameterization, and result analysis.
• Web/UI performance testing using Front End API scripting and Selenium based approaches.
• REST API and microservices performance testing experience.
• Understanding authentication/security mechanisms (OAuth, SSO, JWT).
• Ability to model workload based on production usage and business requirements.
• Experience with Load, Stress, Endurance, and Scalability testing.
• Database performance testing including SQL analysis and indexing.
• Ability to analyze CPU/memory/network/cloud utilization to identify bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze response times, percentiles, throughput, and infrastructure utilization.
• Correlate test results with monitoring data to find root causes.
• Validate performance in Azure and AWS environments including Azure Blob Storage.
• Collaborate with devops, DBAs, infra, and QA to troubleshoot and optimize.
• Prepare detailed performance reports and present risks and recommendations.
• Support CI/CD integration and reuse of performance scripts.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Architect with strong expertise in Performance Engineering, Apache JMeter, Web and UI performance testing, API performance testing, cloud technologies, database performance analysis, and enterprise monitoring.

The ideal candidate will lead performance testing activities from workload modeling and scripting through execution, deep performance analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication. The architect should be able to identify performance bottlenecks across applications, database, infrastructure, and cloud layers and provide practical recommendations for improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Review business requirements, application architecture, production volumes, and expected usage patterns to determine the appropriate performance testing approach.
• Create Workload Models, Performance Test Steps, Performance Scripts, test execution plans, and Performance Test Reports based on project requirements.
• Design, develop, and execute performance tests for Web and UI applications, APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud-based applications.
• Develop Web and UI performance scripts using Front End API approaches and Selenium based scripting when appropriate.
• Develop API performance scripts using Apache JMeter and validate REST services, authentication, tokens, request and response behavior, and application integrations.
• Perform Load, Stress, Endurance, and Scalability testing based on project needs.
• Perform deep analysis of response times, 90th percentile results, throughput, failures, CPU, memory, database utilization, application utilization, infrastructure utilization, and monitoring graphs.
• Analyze database performance including SQL queries, execution behavior, indexes, database connections, and other database related bottlenecks.
• Correlate JMeter results with application, database, infrastructure, and cloud monitoring data to identify the likely root cause of performance issues.
• Validate performance and scalability of applications hosted in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments, including Azure Blob Storage integrations.
• Work closely with developers, DBAs, infrastructure engineers, cloud engineers, architects, QA teams, and project teams to troubleshoot performance issues and validate improvements.
• Prepare detailed Performance Test Reports covering workload, results, failures, infrastructure observations, database observations, bottlenecks, risks, recommendations, and overall performance assessment.
• Use JIRA and Zephyr for performance test execution tracking, defect management, test evidence, release cycles, and reporting.
• Present performance test results, findings, risks, and recommendations confidently to technical teams, project stakeholders, leadership, and business users.
• Support CI/CD integration and maintain reusable performance testing scripts and frameworks where applicable.

Required Technical Skills

• 13+ years of Performance Testing or Performance Engineering experience, with strong hands-on experience leading enterprise performance testing initiatives.
• Strong expertise in Apache JMeter for performance scripting, execution, correlation, parameterization, assertions, test data handling, authentication, and result analysis.
• Strong experience with Web and UI performance testing using Front End API scripting and Selenium based approaches.
• Hands on experience with REST API and microservices performance testing.
• Strong understanding of authentication and security mechanisms including OAuth, SSO, JWT, and token-based authentication.
• Strong experience creating Workload Models(optional) based on expected production usage, transaction volumes, user behavior, and business requirements.
• Strong experience with Load, Stress, Endurance, Volume, Capacity, and Scalability testing.
• Strong database performance testing and analysis skills, including SQL query analysis, indexing, execution behavior, database utilization, and performance tuning recommendations.
• Strong ability to analyze CPU, memory, application, database, infrastructure, network, and cloud utilization to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Experience using enterprise monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, LogicMonitor, Grafana, Dynatrace, New Relic, or AppDynamics.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Blob Storage, Azure App Services, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, AKS, and API Management.
• Experience working with AWS cloud environments.
• Experience using Browser Developer Tools and network traffic analysis to understand Web application behavior and identify Front End API calls.
• Experience with JIRA and Zephyr for test execution management, defect tracking, evidence management, release cycles, and performance reporting.
• Working knowledge of Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills with the ability to provide practical performance optimization recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical findings in simple language to business and project stakeholders.
• Ability to independently lead performance testing activities, manage multiple projects, review performance scripts and results, mentor team members, and communicate performance risks when required.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Performance Testing, Cloud Technologies, Azure, AWS, or related areas are preferred
