Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer in Bengaluru to mentor partner sales teams and evangelize Akamai’s products. You will support partners through the entire sales cycle, drive enablement, and shape joint enablement plans with channel managers.

The role combines technical leadership with partner-focused program delivery and sales collaboration. You will train partner teams, coordinate with product and marketing, and help accelerate new customer acquisition while presenting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.
• 10 years' experience in a customer/partner facing role such as technical pre-sales, account/project management, or consulting.
• 7+ years of experience in Internet Technologies such as HTTP, DNS, and SSL.
• Demonstrate expertise in AI and Security, including WAAP, DDoS, Firewall, VPN, and understanding of Cloud Security, CDN architecture, solutions, and products.
• Have good understanding of and experience working within a channel go-to-market strategy.
• Be able to effectively present complex and technical material to varying audiences virtually and in-person with project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Working with partners to accelerate new customer acquisition.
• Enabling partners to market, sell, implement and support Akamai solutions to customers in a self-sustaining manner.
• Conducting training and enablement workshops for a partner's sales, pre-sales and architect teams.
• Defining a partner-specific enablement plan based on the combined Akamai and partner's sales strategy.
• Collaborating with the Channel Sales team to manage partner progress and success against the enablement plan.
• Engaging in quarterly partner reviews to gain insights and advocating partner needs with product, marketing, and services teams for success.

Partner Solutions Engineers (PSE) are part of Akamai's APAC and India Pre-sales team. You will work with Channel Managers, Partner Account Executives, services & support teams. Together, you will ensure that partners are well enabled to identify, position, scope & sell Akamai solutions. PSEs tailor & execute Akamai's Partner training strategy for both partner & Akamai's growth.

As a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer, you will mentor the partners of the whole sales process. You will be the technical evangelist supporting partners with the adoption of our products and services. You'll play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of our solutions, helping to close the sale.
