Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer to mentor partners across the sales process and act as the technical evangelist for Akamai solutions.

You will enable partners to acquire customers, market and sell Akamai offerings, and lead enablement workshops for partner teams, shaping a partner enablement plan aligned with joint sales strategy.

Qualifications

• 10 years' experience in a customer/partner facing role such as technical pre-sales, account/project management, or consulting.
• 7+ years of experience in Internet Technologies such as HTTP, DNS, and SSL.
• Expertise in AI and Security including WAAP, DDoS, Firewall, VPN, and understanding of Cloud Security, CDN architecture, solutions, and products.
• Strong understanding of a channel go-to-market strategy.
• Ability to present complex and technical material to varied audiences virtually and in-person with project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with partners to accelerate new customer acquisition.
• Enable partners to market, sell, implement and support Akamai solutions.
• Conduct training and enablement workshops for a partner's sales, pre-sales and architect teams.
• Define a partner-specific enablement plan based on Akamai and partner sales strategy.
• Collaborate with Channel Sales to manage partner progress and success against the enablement plan.
• Engage in quarterly partner reviews to gather insights and advocate partner needs with product, marketing, and services teams.

Partner Solutions Engineers (PSE) are part of Akamai's APAC and India Pre-sales team. You will work with Channel Managers, Partner Account Executives, services & support teams. Together, you will ensure that partners are well enabled to identify, position, scope & sell Akamai solutions. PSEs tailor & execute Akamai's Partner training strategy for both partner & Akamai's growth.

As a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer, you will mentor the partners of the whole sales process. You will be the technical evangelist supporting partners with the adoption of our products and services. You'll play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of our solutions, helping to close the sale.

As a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Working with partners to accelerate new customer acquisition
• Enabling partners to market, sell, implement and support Akamai solutions to customers in a self-sustaining manner
• Conducting training and enablement workshops for a partner's sales, pre-sales and architect teams
• Defining a partner-specific enablement plan based on the combined Akamai and partner's sales strategy
• Collaborating with the Channel Sales team to manage partner progress and success against the enablement plan
• Engaging in quarterly partner reviews to gain insights and advocating partner needs with product, marketing, and services teams for success.

• Have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
• Have 10 years' experience in a customer/partner facing role such as, technical pre-sales, account/project management, or consulting
