Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking a Sr. Oracle EBS / Applications DBA (MS SQL) for remote or Hyderabad (hybrid) work arrangement in India.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, immediate start, and support hours aligned with PST time zone in rotational shifts. Responsibilities include managing Oracle EBS R12.2.x and Oracle Core DBA tasks, OCI administration, and MS SQL Server DBA operations with a focus on performance tuning, backups, and data migrations.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
• Extensive RMAN backup/recovery, performance tuning and upgrade/migration experience.
• Solid experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x administration and support.
• OCI exposure across compute, storage, networking, database services, and DR migrations.
• MS SQL Server DBA experience including performance tuning and backup/recovery.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; proactive attitude.

Job Description:

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including:

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle Exadata administration and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.

Emerging Technology Skills:

• Knowledge or hands-on experience with AI-driven database administration, database automation, AI-assisted monitoring, performance optimization, or implementation of AI solutions within database environments is highly desirable.
