Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking a Sr. Oracle EBS / Applications DBA (MS SQL) to join our team in a remote or Hyderabad (Hybrid) setup. The role requires 8+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration, Oracle Core DBA, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, and strong MSSQL Server DBA skills.

OCI exposure and excellent communication are essential. The ideal candidate will manage complex database environments, perform upgrades and migrations, and contribute to disaster recovery planning

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including RAC and Data Guard.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x administration and support is required.
• OCI compute, storage, networking, database services, and DR are mandatory exposure.
• Solid MS SQL Server DBA experience including administration, tuning, backups, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle EBS and Oracle core databases with RAC and Data Guard.
• Perform database upgrades, migrations, cloning, and RMAN backups.
• OLTP and OLAP performance tuning; monitor and optimize database queries.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle Exadata administration and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.

Emerging Technology Skills:

• Knowledge or hands-on experience with AI-driven database administration, database automation, AI-assisted monitoring, performance optimization, or implementation of AI solutions within database environments is highly desirable.
