Job summary

Buxton Consulting is seeking a Senior Oracle EBS / Applications DBA (MS SQL) to join our team in a remote or Hyderabad-based hybrid setup in India. The role requires 8+ years of experience and supporting hours across PST with rotational shifts.

Start date is immediate, and the position is fulltime. Key responsibilities include Oracle Core DBA administration (RAC, Data Guard, RMAN), EBS R12.2.x administration, OCI exposure, and strong MS SQL Server DBA skills, along with excellent communication

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including RAC and Data Guard.
• Solid experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2.x administration and support.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) – Compute, Storage, Networking, Database services.
• Robust Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform database upgrades, migrations and cloning with minimal downtime.

Job Description:

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Core DBA Administration, including:

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Oracle Exadata administration and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery architectures.

Emerging Technology Skills:

• Knowledge or hands-on experience with AI-driven database administration, database automation, AI-assisted monitoring, performance optimization, or implementation of AI solutions within database environments is highly desirable.
