Job summary

Alchemist Group in Panchkula, Haryana is seeking a Billing Specialist to resolve billing related issues for IPD and OPD patients. You will provide detailed treatment cost estimates in coordination with the billing department and handle payment-related queries.

The role also involves training and implementing new processes related to OPD services and IPD counseling, coordinating with consultants, managing cash summaries, and supporting front-office staff to improve service turnaround times.

Responsibilities

• To resolve billing related issues/queries of patients (IPD & OPD)
• To provide detail estimate of treatment expenses to the patients in coordination with billing department.
• To handle payment related issues of the patients.
• Responsible for training and implementation of new process related to OPD services and IPD counseling.
• Bed Management (in case of scarcity), at the time of Admission
• Responsible for recovery of outstanding payments of admitted patients (except corporates)
• To record and interpret OPD feedbacks and monitoring of turn around time of OPD consultations. Continuous efforts to improve these indicators and take action in case of any non compliance.
• To check and sign detail cash summary of the previous day and handing it over to accounts department
• Responsible for departmental induction and duty roster of front office staff
• To take initiatives to improve upon the existing OP services and implementing the newer ones, in co-ordination with consultants inputs/suggestions and the approval of higher management.
