Job summary

Samsonite Group APAC & Middle East is seeking a seasoned production supervisor to lead plastic processing operations. You will drive manufacturing excellence, oversee shift performance, and ensure safety and quality across injection moulding and vacuum forming lines.

The role requires 10 years of plastics experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to cut waste and improve OEE while aligning with ISO 14000, SMETA and SA 8000 standards.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in Plastic processing.
• Supervisory & Interpersonal Skills.
• Strong shift handling experience.
• Problem Solving & Analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Achieve production targets by improving OEE of injection moulding & vacuum forming machines.
• Reduce rejection during changeover and in-process through production efficiencies.
• Participate in SMED, CLIT & MY MACHINE campaigns.
• Maintain 5S, monitor Kaizens, and ensure safety and ISO audits (ISO 14000, SMETA & SA 8000).

Job Description:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES OF THIS JOB (list not more than 10 items):

Achieving Production Targets

• OEE of injection moulding & vacuum forming machines to be improve as per set targets.

Eliminating Rejection & Scrap

• Rejection during change over & in process to be reduce by improving production efficiencies to a set yearly targets.

Process Improvement & Cost Saving

• To be participate in SMED, CLIT & MY MACHINE like campaign in the department.

Manufacturing Excellence & Audit Compliances

• Find out number of Kaizens in the shift & implement it.
• 5S to be maintain in shift.
• Worked on 3m Muda mura & muri in shift.
• Take care of safety measures in shift.
• Take care of work & Actions related to ISO 14000, SMETA & SA 8000 Audit.
