Job summary

Locks & Architectural Solution in India seeks a hands-on CNC programmer and prototyping specialist to drive NPD trials and prototyping execution in our protoshop.

You will program CNC machines (VMC/TMC), perform CAM with CAMWorks or SolidCAM, design fixtures, select tools, and coordinate with quality and suppliers to deliver samples on time.

Essential skills include process mapping, Kaizen mindset, and rigorous documentation to support continuous improvement and zero-defect manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Essential: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferred: Certification in CNC Programming / SolidCAM.
• Experience in CNC machining, CAM programming, NPD and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• CNC programming (2D/3D) for VMC & TMC.
• CAM programming using CAMWorks / SolidCAM.
• Machining complex 3D components and fixturing design.
• Coordinating with Quality and suppliers; supervising operators.

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Superior Business Performance - Prototyping Execution- Executing prototyping requests as per drawings and timelines- Studying drawings and proto development plans- Ensuring availability of raw material, bought-out parts, tools, and fixtures- Manufacturing and inspecting lock components- Assembling prototypes and conduct functional testing- Maintaining proto development sheets and observations- Coordinating with design and manufacturing teams- Tracking Prototype Plan vs Actual
• Innovative Solutions & Technical Trials- Conducting NPD trials in Protoshop- Recording and analysing trial data- Supporting NPD & FMC teams- Optimizing CNC programs and cycle time- Designing and modifying fixtures for prototyping- Ensuring timely closure of requests
• Core Responsibilities- CNC programming (2D/3D) for VMC & TMC- CAM programming using CAMWorks / SolidCAM- Machining complex 3D components- Cutting tool selection and fixturing design- Coordinating with Quality and suppliers and Supervision of operators- Item master management- Timely sample and trial delivery
