Job summary

Luminous Power Technologies (P) Ltd in Angul is seeking a Sr. Officer - Production (Plate Generation) to drive plate generation operations on rotational shifts.

You will monitor process parameters, ensure quality compliance, and supervise operators and contract manpower, coordinating with maintenance to minimize downtime. The role requires 3–6 years in battery manufacturing or similar processes, with a strong grasp of lean methods, quality systems, and EHS standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3-6 years of experience in battery manufacturing, plate generation, or similar process manufacturing operations.
• Good understanding of plate generation processes, process control, and production operations.
• Knowledge of manpower management and shop floor coordination.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement practices.
• Basic knowledge of quality systems, EHS standards, and statutory compliance requirements.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

• Execute plate generation operations during the assigned shift to achieve production targets.
• Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and process specifications.
• Supervise operators and contract manpower deployed in the section.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain shift-wise production records and process documentation.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, ISO, and statutory requirements.
• Participate in productivity, quality, and cost improvement initiatives.
• Support training and skill development of operators and technicians.
