Job summary

Unisys India Private Limited is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Network Engineer to monitor and troubleshoot our network infrastructure within incident, problem, and change management guidelines. You will perform fault isolation, system upgrades, and security configurations while seeking automation opportunities across teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco/Aruba/Meraki devices, WLCs, ISE, and DNAC, plus familiarity with public clouds.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of networking experience.
• ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
• Hands-on with Cisco/HP/Aruba/WLCs/Meraki devices.
• Knowledge of Cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/Google.
• Associate level certs like CCNA/ACSA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure per incident, problem and change management guidelines.

• Maintain and upgrade network devices and perform patches and security configs.
• Automate repetitive tasks and share best practices across teams.
• Remote support for customers and onsite test/turn-ups of WAN/LAN equipment.
• Work with vendors to resolve customer issues.

Job description

Subject Matter Expert Network Engineer

What success looks like in this role: Monitor and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure within the guidelines of Incident Management (Return-to-Service), Problem Management (Reason for Outage) and Change management. Perform fault isolation and resolution in a methodical and thorough manner in accordance with SLA. Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configuration. Continuously explore the opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and share the best practices across all the teams. Ability to administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers. Remotely support customers and/or onsite technicians test and turn-ups of WAN and LAN equipment. Meet and exceed customer SLA or OLA metrics. Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues. #LI-BN1

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• 1 - 2 years of experience in networking technologies.
• ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
• Hands on experience in working with the following: Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Nexus switches, WLCs & Meraki devices HP, Aruba switches, routers & WLCs Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, ACI SD WAN – Silver peak, Velo cloud etc.
• Knowledge on Public Clouds like Azure, AWS, Google Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Hand on experience with routers, switches, wireless controllers. (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki)
• Associate level certification in one or more fields. (Cisco- CCNA, Aruba – ACSA etc..)
• Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
