Job summary

Plative is seeking a Senior NetSuite Consultant to implement sophisticated NetSuite solutions for a diverse client portfolio. You will bridge complex business processes with accounting principles, focusing on high-level modules and strategic integrations.

You will lead multi-client delivery, ensure alignment with best practices for SaaS and Professional Services, and collaborate with BAs, PMs, and developers under a Delivery Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing and configuring NetSuite ERP.
• Proven experience in a service-based/consulting environment with external clients.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles including ASC 606 and intercompany configurations.
• Hands-on experience implementing ARM, Suite Billing and Multi-book Accounting.
• Familiarity with Salesforce-to-NetSuite integrations and partner products (Avalara, HubSpot).
• Forward-thinking mindset regarding AI in the NetSuite ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Lead sessions with team members and clients to uncover business requirements and map complex accounting processes.
• Configure and customize NetSuite instances with focus on Suite Billing, ARM, and Multi-book.
• Create detailed functional and technical requirement documents for client success.
• Manage full project lifecycle from inception through data migration, system integrations, and UAT.
• Develop and contribute to data migration and system integrations.
• Collaborate with developers to deploy custom solutions and report to a Delivery Manager within a cross-functional team.
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and identify growth opportunities.

Job description

As a Senior NetSuite Consultant at Plative, you will act as a strategic advisor, implementing sophisticated NetSuite solutions for our portfolio of clients. While technical knowledge (scripting/workflows) is a "nice-to-have," your true value lies in your ability to bridge the gap between complex business processes and accounting principles. Candidates for this role should possess deep knowledge of NetSuite’s capabilities in the high-tech and professional services space and high-level knowledge of common industry specific integrations.

Plative is a fast-paced, agile environment. You will manage end-to-end delivery for multiple clients simultaneously, ensuring that every configuration, from general ledger to advanced revenue recognition, aligns with industry best practices (SaaS and Professional Services).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead sessions with team members and clients to uncover business requirements and map out complex accounting processes.
• Configure and customize NetSuite instances with a focus on high-level modules including Suite Billing, ARM, and Multi-book.
• Create detailed functional and technical requirement documents that serve as the blueprint for client success.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, from initial inception through data migration, system integrations, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
• Develop and contribute to data migration and system integrations.
• Work closely with developers to deploy custom solutions and report directly to a Delivery Manager within a cross-functional team of BAs and PMs.
• Maintain ongoing business relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing and configuring NetSuite ERP.
• Proven experience in a service-based/consulting environment. We are looking for advisors who have worked with external clients, rather than internal-only administrators.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles is required. You must be comfortable discussing ASC 606, intercompany configurations, and advanced revenue treatments.
• Hands-on experience implementing: ARM (Advanced Revenue Management), Suite Billing and Multi-book Accounting, Intercompany configurations
• Familiarity with Salesforce-to-NetSuite integrations and partner products (Avalara, HubSpot, etc.).
• A forward-thinking mindset regarding AI in the NetSuite ecosystem (NetSuite Next).

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite certifications (ERP Consultant, Financial User, Suite Foundation, etc.).
• Accounting or finance designations (CPA or equivalent).
• Experience with: Suite Projects (NetSuite PSA), Suite Analytics, Advanced financial reporting, and NetSuite workflow automation and customizations.
• Experience supporting SaaS subscription models and professional services automation workflows.
• Experience supporting multi-subsidiary or global NetSuite environments
• Exposure to NetSuite CPQ, Suite Projects, and Suite Analytics.
• Technical Bonus: Familiarity with Suite Script
• or advanced workflow automation.
