Buxton Consulting is seeking a skilled NetSuite Functional Consultant in India to lead client requirement gathering and manage the lifecycle of tickets, helping clients leverage AI features. With a focus on best practices and a consultative approach, you'll guide clients through customizations while supporting integrations with other platforms.

Ideal candidates are expected to have over 6 years of NetSuite experience, strong understanding of ERP processes, and fluency in English. The shift timing is from 3 PM to 12:30 AM.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in functional design, development, and administration of NetSuite.
• Good understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and financial management processes.
• Experience with NetSuite's configuration including SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow, and Saved Searches.

Job description

Buxton is continuing to grow our NetSuite practice. We’ve recently completed one of the largest NetSuite deployments in the market to date—consolidating SAP, Oracle EBS, and System 32 into a single instance for a major TMT (Technology, Telecommunications & Media) client. We are building on this momentum and hiring a new team member to support our ongoing Managed Service engagements and new implementations.

About the Role

As a NetSuite Functional Consultant, you will play a key role in leading business requirement gathering sessions, conducting fit-gap analysis, and managing the lifecycle of client tickets, while also advising clients on leveraging AI features within NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Lead business requirement gathering sessions and translate business needs into configurations or customizations.
• Conduct "fit-gap" analysis for new module rollouts to guide clients toward standard features.
• Own the lifecycle after the client’s "functional grooming" of a ticket, from solution design to final deployment.
• Develop, test, and deploy customizations using SuiteScript (1.0 & 2.x), SuiteTalk, and SuiteFlow.
• Advise clients on the NetSuite AI roadmap and help them leverage SuiteSense and other AI‑driven features.
• Support integrations between NetSuite and third‑party systems (e.g., Salesforce, Billing platforms, etc.).

Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years of hands‑on experience in functional design, development, and administration of NetSuite.
• Good understanding of ERP core business processes such as Order‑to‑Cash (O2C), Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P), and financial management (GL, AR, AP).
• Experience with NetSuite's configuration including SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow (workflows), and Saved Searches.
• Support NetSuite Application Users on day‑to‑day issues.
• Experience with Reports and Dashboard.
• Experience with Inbound and Outbound integrations with NetSuite.
• User training for users to perform their day‑to‑day jobs by explaining NetSuite standard practices.

Required Skills

• Ability to understand how NetSuite is utilizing AI in their product and advise clients on utilizing AI for predictive analytics and process improvement.
• Consultative mindset to advocate for "out of the box" best practices vs. custom extensions.
• Proficiency in creating clear solution design documents (SDD) and user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required to support our global client base.

Preferred Skills

• NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant or Certified Developer is a significant plus.
• Additional experiences such as with integration tools e.g. Workato, supporting Zone or other billing platforms.
• TMT industry experience with the transition from an asset‑based business to subscription business models.
