Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Pune location. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 4–8 years of relevant experience, with strong CAD skills in Autodesk Inventor and PLM experience (Enovia preferred).

You will design packaged units such as compressors and generators, ensure adherence to manufacturing standards, and collaborate with international clients while reviewing your own work to maintain quality.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of relevant industry experience.
• Sound knowledge of sheet metal, piping, fabrication, welding manufacturing processes and related standards.
• Experience designing packaged units e.g. compressor, generators.
• 3D/2D CAD expertise on Autodesk Inventor is a must.
• Hands-on PLM experience; Enovia preferred. Knowledge of BOM creation.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical packages such as compressors and generators.
• Communicate with international customers and review own work to ensure quality.
• Apply sound design and manufacturing concepts to deliver robust products.

Job Location – Pune

• Educational Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical)

Experience Required

• Experience- 4 to 8 years of relevant industry experience
• Sound knowledge of sheet metal, piping, fabrication, welding manufacturing processes and related standards.
• Should have worked on design of packaged units e.g. compressor, generators.
• Sound knowledge of general design and manufacturing concepts.
• 3D, 2D CAD expertise is must on Autodesk Inventor.
• Hands on experience on PLM system, Enovia is preferred. Knowledge on creating BOM.
• Should have good ability to understand inputs and plan action based on input requirements, review their own work.
• Should be able to communicate with international customers.

UG: B.Tech / B.E. in Automobile Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering
