Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for deputation at the Khadaki, Pune location. You will work on CREO-based 3D model assemblies and 2D drawings, focusing on sheet metal components and Genset assemblies.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automobile and 4–6 years of relevant experience. You should have hands-on experience with CREO and AutoCAD, knowledge of EMI/EMC in MIL-461G contexts, and BOM/ECN processes. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile engineering.
• 4–6 years of relevant design experience.
• Strong CREO and AutoCAD hands-on capabilities.
• Experience with 3D model assemblies and 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

• Work on CREO-based 3D model assemblies and 2D drawings.
• Hands-on experience with sheet metal components (e.g., canopy, base frame, fuel tank).
• Understand Genset and diesel engine components for design.
• Design and select mechanical auxiliary components of Genset and acoustic container design knowledge.
• Experience with casting models and BOM preparation; aware of ECR/ECN processes.
• Familiarity with ISPL/Parts Catalogue is a plus.
• Good verbal communication skills; EMI/EMC knowledge per MIL-461G.

Key responsibilities-

• Must have worked on CRE-O (3D model Assemblies & 2D drawings) & Autocad software.
• Hands on experience on Sheet metal Components e.g. Canopy, Base Frame & Fuel Tank.
• Good technical understanding of Genset & Diesel Engine Components.
• Should be able to do the selection & design of mechanical auxiliary components of Genset Should have Knowledge of Acoustic Container Design.
• Should have experience in the casting Models
• Preparation of Bill of Material (BOM), Aware of ECR & ECN processes
• Worked on ISPL / Parts Catalogue will be preferred
• Good verbal communication.
• WShould have knowledge on the EMI/EMC as per MIL461 G Complied Acoustic Enclosure.
