Job summary

VAYUZ Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Engineering/MDM specialist in Bengaluru to lead Customer MDM/Customer 360 and identity resolution initiatives. You will build and optimize entity resolution pipelines, manage golden records, and ensure high data quality across source systems.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in Data Engineering/Integration/EDM with hands-on Customer MDM or Identity Resolution.
• Proven experience building Customer MDM/Customer 360 solutions and data lineage.
• Hands-on with survival rules, deduplication, and Golden Records.
• Strong advanced SQL skills with large datasets and optimization.
• Snowflake and dbt hands-on for transformations, lineage, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Customer MDM/Customer 360 and identity resolution pipelines.
• Develop entity resolution, record linkage, and deduplication with accuracy targets.
• Manage Golden Records selection based on source priority and data quality.
• Write and optimize production SQL (CTEs, window functions, MERGE).
• Build modular dbt models, ensure data lineage and documentation.

Job description

Experience: 7-12 years in Data Engineering / Data Integration / Enterprise Data Management, with strong hands- on experience in Customer MDM or Identity Resolution.

1. MDM & Customer 360

• Strong experience building or developing Customer MDM / Customer 360 solutions.
• Good understanding of Golden Records, Customer/Party models, source systems, crosswalks and data lineage.
• Should have hands- on experience with customer/individual mastering and deduplication.

2. Entity & Identity Resolution - Critical

• Strong experience in Entity Resolution, Identity Resolution and Record Linkage.
• Hands- on experience with deterministic, probabilistic and fuzzy matching.
• Should understand blocking/candidate generation, matching scores, thresholds, precision/recall, false positives/negatives.
• Experience handling duplicate customers/individuals across multiple source systems.
• Strong understanding of attribute-level survivorship rules.
• Ability to determine which source/value should become the Golden Record based on source priority, quality, completeness, recency, verification, etc.
• Experience with merge/unmerge, crosswalks, source traceability and reversible merges.

4. Advanced SQL - Mandatory

• Strong/advanced SQL is mandatory.
• Should be comfortable working with large datasets and complex SQL.
• Experience with CTEs, window functions, MERGE, query optimization and set-based processing.
• Candidate should be hands- on in writing and optimizing production SQL, not just reviewing it.

5. Snowflake + dbt

• Strong hands- on experience with Snowflake.
• Hands- on dbt experience for transformation, modular models, testing, lineage and documentation.
• PostgreSQL experience is preferred.

6. Data Modeling & Data Quality

• Strong data modeling / entity-relationship modeling skills.
• Experience designing models around customers, individuals, organizations, identifiers, relationships and hierarchies.
• Should be able to perform data profiling, cleansing, standardization, validation, reconciliation and deduplication.
• This is a custom MDM development/build role, not simply an MDM platform configuration role.
• Candidate should be comfortable reviewing existing logic, identifying gaps, writing production code, testing match quality and continuously improving the Load -> Match -> Merge -> Review -> Refine lifecycle.
