• Bachelor's degree in commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of underwriting experience.
• Excellent customer interaction skills and courteous communication.
• Support sales teams and relationships with channel partners.
• Contribute to segment strategies and sales/marketing plans.
• Train internal teams and intermediaries.
• Maintain regulatory compliant controls and processes.

Responsibilities

• Review allocated proposals and non-standard referrals and deliver underwriting decisions at designated authority level to secure profitable business within risk appetite.
• Manage customer interactions—internal and external—in a courteous and timely manner to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Support the sales team in line with business requirements across the allocated portfolio and develop relationships with channel partners.
• Contribute to the development of segment and local prepositions and sales/marketing plans.
• Provide training to internal teams & intermediaries and clients.
• Maintain an effective and proportionate business control environment in line with internal policy and external regulatory requirements.
• Lead and contribute to technical audits.
