Job summary

IndiGo (InterGlobe Aviation Ltd) is seeking a seasoned professional to lead Flight Operations Safety & Documentation. You will manage regulatory compliance, develop and maintain manuals and notices, and coordinate audits to ensure safe, compliant operations in line with DGCA, AAI, BCAS and IOSA standards.

The role requires 7+ years in aviation, a bachelor’s degree, and strong writing, presentation and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or any equivalent combination (Education & training)
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in aviation
• Experience in instructional design, curriculum development and training delivery or any equivalent combination (Education, training, and experience) preferred.
• Familiarity with document management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high level of understanding of all regulatory requirements and guidelines stated by DGCA, AAI, BCAS and other such governing bodies within and outside India.
• Create documents as needed, to meet organizational requirements with complete understanding of the concept of documentation.
• To monitor changes in regulatory requirements and accordingly suggest revisions in Company Operations Manuals and other documents to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Incorporate all internal policies/ procedure changed as an outcome of SRAs.
• Responsible/ monitor approval of documents from the regulator.
• Act as a resource and coordinate in creation, updating, maintenance and review of notices and other documents of flight operations.
• Assist other sections of the Flight operations department in creation and formulation of their manuals and notices.
• Act as a resource and support during external audits as required.
• Update and compile audit Check lists prior to internal and external audits and coordinate.
• Whenever any AOC related approvals are needed, Fulfil requirements in accordance with CAP 3100/ 8100.
• Be responsible for IOSA audit preparation and compliance of the IOSA Standards and Recommended Practices (ISARPs)

Job description

The Flight Operations Safety & Documentation function ensures regulatory compliance, operational safety, and governance across Flight Operations. The team manages manuals, notices, and safety documentation in line with DGCA, BCAS, AAI, and IOSA requirements, while supporting audits, regulatory approvals, risk management, and safety initiatives. It acts as a key interface with regulators and operational stakeholders to maintain safe, compliant, and efficient flight operations.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor’s degree required or any equivalent combination (Education & training)
• Minimum 07 years’ experience in aviation
• Experience in instructional design, curriculum development and training delivery or any equivalent combination (Education, training, and experience) preferred.
• Familiarity with document management systems.

Knowledge and Skills

• Awareness of DGCA, ICAO, and regulations related with Company areas of operations,
• Should have basic understanding of Company Operations Manuals and Manufacturer documents,
• Effective writing and presentation skills,
• Intermediate/advanced skills in MS products – Work/Power point/Excel/Project
• Interpersonal and team management skills.
