Job summary

The Millennium School in Mumbai is seeking a Quality Control professional to implement and maintain quality standards across incoming materials, production, in-process and finished products. You will support vendor and new product development, ensure ISO 9001/BIS compliance, manage CAPA, and perform on-site inspections with documented reports.

Proficiency with lab equipment (Vernier caliper, screw gauge, thickness gauge, torque tester, push-pull meter) and strong communication to report issues

Qualifications

• Develop, implement and maintain quality control test, inspection plan and standard operating procedure(SOP).
• At the four stages, (a) Incoming material (b) Production (c) In process (d) Finished product, ensure quality.
• Detect defects and document, circulate reports to management.
• Support new vendor development and new product development.
• Compliance with ISO 9001, BIS and regulatory audits.
• Manage non-compliance reports and develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Inspection conducted directly at the manufacturing facility, readily available for travel.
• Fulfill inspection reports and record findings as per company procedure.
• Operate lab equipment like Vernier caliper, screw gauge, thickness gauge, torque tester, push pull meter.
• Report issues to the operation Head & management.

Responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Knowledge of Toys, Furniture, Textile, paper must be preferred.
• Knowledge about BIS process and documentation and other testing certificates like EN71, GMark, ASTEM, CE etc.
