Job summary

ZEISS India seeks an experienced engineering leader to head process engineering across casting, surfacing, milling, polishing, and coating operations in its Bengaluru-based facilities. The role requires guiding multidisciplinary teams and driving automation, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing with strong exposure to automation, Lean tools and TPM, plus hands-on experience in process validation and equipment

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Chemical or Polymer Engineering; Master's/MBA desirable.
• Experience: 10-20 years in manufacturing, including at least 8 years leading engineering/process teams.
• Strong experience in Automotive, Chemical or electronic industries, with experience in automation and Lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for casting, Surfacing, Milling, Polishing, Hard Coating and AR Coating.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Drive automation, Industry 4.0, MES, IoT and predictive maintenance initiatives.
• Implement Lean, Six Sigma, TPM and continuous improvement.
• Ensure quality, EHS and regulatory compliance.
• Lead new equipment installation and process validation.
• Collaborate with global support functions and especially Global Development.
