Medhavi Skills University is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager – Placements to lead the university’s corporate engagement and student placement strategy at the Sikkim campus. This leadership role will be responsible for building strong industry partnerships, managing the placement team, and ensuring high‑quality placement opportunities for students through strategic recruiter engagement. He will be responsible for getting all eligible students placed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Campus Placement & Corporate Relations team to achieve placement goals.
• Define KPIs, performance targets and accountability structures for the placement team.
• Monitor team performance through regular reviews and ensure timely achievement of placement milestones.
• Mentor team members and strengthen internal systems for effective placement management.

Industry Partnerships & Corporate Outreach for Placements

• Develop and expand long‑term partnerships with corporates, recruiters and industry bodies across sectors.
• Identify and establish new recruitment partnerships for internships and final placements by frequent visits to companies, organizations PAN India.
• Actively engage with industry leaders to position the university as a preferred talent sourcing partner.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing recruiters to ensure recurring hiring engagements.

Placement Strategy & Performance Monitoring

• Develop and implement the annual placement strategy for the campus.
• Monitor placement progress across programs and ensure achievement of placement targets and quality benchmarks.
• Establish systems for data‑driven monitoring of placement performance, including placement dashboards and reports.
• Provide periodic insights and updates to university leadership on placement outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with academic leadership and faculty to align student skills with industry requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to strengthen student employability and career readiness initiatives.
• Ensure effective communication between students, recruiters, faculty, and the placement team.

Employer Branding & Institutional Representation

• Represent the university in corporate meetings, industry forums, and networking platforms.
• Promote the university’s talent pool to attract high‑quality recruiters and hiring partners.
• Strengthen the university’s reputation as an industry‑aligned institution with strong placement outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Master’s degree in Management, HR or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in placements, corporate relations or industry partnerships.
• Mandatory: Prior experience managing placements in universities or higher education institutions for at least 3–5 years.
• Proven experience in building corporate partnerships and managing recruitment engagements.
• Proficient in corporate relationship management, team leadership and performance monitoring, strategic planning and execution, strong networking and negotiation skills, data‑driven monitoring and reporting.
