Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in any discipline (Management / Commerce / Humanities / Engineering preferred) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
• MBA / PGDM from a recognized university or institution.
• 12–15 years of experience, with significant exposure to:
  • Campus recruitment
  • Industry partnerships
  • Training and development
  • Leadership roles
• Experience in higher education institutes of repute (IIT, NIT, IIM, central universities, prominent private universities) will be an added advantage.
• Understanding of university governance systems and NAAC / UGC requirements.
• Familiarity with IKS-based disciplines (preferred).

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Leadership

• Develop and lead the University’s placement strategy, internship roadmap, and employability enhancement initiatives.
• Create annual placement plans, targets, industry-outreach calendars, and progress reports for the Vice-Chancellor.
• Build systems and processes to deliver strong placement outcomes across all schools and programmes.

Industry Relations & Employer Engagement

• Build systems and processes to deliver strong placement outcomes across all schools and programmes.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with:
  • Corporates, MNCs, PSUs, Government bodies
  • Start-ups and incubators
  • Research organizations and think tanks
  • NGOs, social-impact organizations, and IKS-based institutions
• Organise employer roundtables, industry conclaves, company visits, MOUs, and special recruitment drives.

Placement Operations Management

• Lead and supervise the placement team—placement officers, coordinators, student volunteers.
• Ensure seamless execution of:
  • Campus placement drives
  • Internship placements
  • Pre-placement talks
  • Career fairs
  • Skill development workshops
• Create transparent and efficient SOPs, documentation, and reporting mechanisms.

Student Career Development & Training

• Design and deliver (directly or through external trainers):
  • Employability training
  • Aptitude and communication modules
  • Resume building & interview preparation
  • Personal branding and LinkedIn mastery
  • Sector-wise career orientation sessions
• Identify high-potential students for special mentorship tracks.

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Maintain an updated placement management system with:
  • Employer database
  • Student profiles
  • Placement statistics
  • Internship records
• Submit quarterly reports to the VC and annual placement reports for NAAC, UGC, and the Board of Management.

Collaboration with Schools & Departments

• Coordinate with HoS for:
  • Curriculum inputs based on industry expectations
  • Guest lectures
  • Industry projects
  • Skill gap analysis
• Integrate IKS-aligned career pathways (e.g., yoga, Ayurveda wellness industry, Sanskrit studies, heritage tourism) where relevant.

Alumni Relations & Mentoring

• Work closely with the Alumni Office to:
  • Create alumni-led mentoring programs
  • Facilitate alumni recruitment drives
  • Leverage alumni networks for referrals and internships

Governance, Compliance & Professional Standards

• Prepare placement policies, internship regulations, and guidelines as per:
  • UGC norms
  • NAAC requirements
  • Deemed-to-be University guidelines
• Ensure ethical standards, fairness, and transparency in all placement processes.

Brand-Building & Outreach

• Represent CVV in:
  • Industry forums
  • Academic conferences
  • National career fairs
  • Employer councils
• Promote CVV’s distinct value proposition rooted in values, skills, and IKS.
