Job summary

Delhivery in Gurgaon is seeking a Senior Manager to lead owned fleet operations, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime and driver efficiency. You will drive maintenance, safety compliance, asset lifecycle decisions and cost control across the fleet.

You will recruit and mentor drivers, optimize routes, supervise vendor relations and deliver KPI-driven performance for the organization's logistics network.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical engineering degree with 8–10 years in commercial vehicle operations.
• Diploma in engineering with 12+ years in commercial vehicle sector.
• Strong communication, leadership and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, safety compliance (fitness, PUC, insurance) and repairs.
• Recruit, train, supervise and mentor drivers; manage scheduling and routing.
• Manage acquisition and disposal of company assets, including remarketing.
• Track fuel, maintenance costs and expenses; prepare KPI reports for leadership.
• Plan efficient routes using GPS/IoT to reduce idling and improve deliveries.
• Negotiate with workshops and vendors for quality work at competitive rates.

Job description

Objective:To manage company-owned assets effectively, ensuring maximum vehicle uptime, driver efficiency, cost control, and compliance with transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:Supervise routine maintenance schedules, repair scheduling, and ensure vehicle safety compliance (fitness, P.U.C., insurance).
• Driver Management:Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor drivers. Handle driver scheduling, route dispatching, and monitor driving habits for efficiency and safety.
• Asset Lifecycle Management:Manage the acquisition and disposal of company-owned assets, including vehicle remarketing for the best ROI.
• Cost Control & Reporting:Track fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and operational expenses to improve efficiency. Prepare KPI reports for senior management.
• Route Optimization:Utilize tracking systems (GPS/IoT) to plan efficient routes, reduce idling time, and manage deliveries.
• Vendor Management:Negotiate with third-party workshops, spare parts vendors, and service providers to ensure quality work at competitive rates
